Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor is a senior safety consultant whose diverse background and expertise ensure the safety of Pinnacol’s customers in Southeast Colorado. Taylor’s career has been marked by his commitment to safety excellence and serving his community. He started his journey in the United States Air Force as a firefighter, where he was recognized through various accolades, including Airman Below the Zone, Airman of the Year for the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron and the Peterson Fire Department Firefighter of the Year.

After his time in the military, Taylor provided safety support in various roles for the Colorado Department of Corrections, Colorado Department of Human Services and El Paso County Human Resources Risk Division before joining Pinnacol in 2023. With a foundation in fire science acquired through his studies with the Community College of the Air Force, Taylor uses his skills in crisis response, critical thinking and leadership as a senior safety consultant. 

Taylor excels at building strong customer relationships across various industries and is highly qualified to provide expert safety guidance as a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) and American Heart Association Basic Life Support instructor. Outside of his professional life, Taylor cherishes his time in Colorado's breathtaking outdoors, camping and hiking with his family.
