As a Safety Innovation Manager, Marshall Cornelius spearheads the intersection of product strategy and technological advancement in the safety industry. He serves as a leader in emerging safety technologies, specializing in the strategic implementation of Artificial Intelligence applications to build proactive, employee-led resilience. By integrating analytics and innovation strategy into operational learning, Marshall provides organizations with the high-tech solutions necessary to move beyond traditional compliance toward a future of "smart" safety.
Before leading safety innovation at Pinnacol Assurance, Marshall built a robust professional foundation as a field engineer in heavy civil construction and progressed through leadership roles in commercial construction and critical infrastructure. He holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management with a focus on product innovation and analytics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, both from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Outside of his work driving digital transformation in the safety sector, Marshall is an outdoor enthusiast who can be found navigating Colorado’s rugged backcountry trails in his Rock Crawler or on his mountain bike.
