Tammy Minter

Senior Safety Consultant

With more than 37 years of experience in safety and workers’ compensation, Tammy Minter sets the bar high in her role as a senior safety consultant for Pinnacol Assurance. She enjoys working with new and existing companies that are eager to keep their employees safe, and she uses her carefully honed skills in communication, empathy and compassion to support business owners and employees.

Minter is deft at developing and managing safety management policies and programs, including ergonomic programs, in-house treatment programs and return-to-work policies, among others. Prior to joining Pinnacol Assurance in Colorado, Minter worked with a national food processing organization as the self-insured administrator for Oklahoma workers’ compensation claims and managed the safety and occupational health department. In addition, Minter was elected as the vice chair for the Oklahoma Guaranty Fund, and her work helped to transform Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system.

Minter holds certifications as an Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Ergonomics Assessment I, and Remote Ergonomics Assessment Specialist II, and in Foundations in Design Thinking.
