Josh Kreger

Director of Safety Innovation and Strategy

Josh Kreger is an innovative leader in human and organizational performance with a focus on enterprise risk management. Serving as Pinnacol Assurance’s Director of Safety Innovation and Strategy since 2020, Kreger thrives on turning data into risk intelligence for businesses. His day-to-day work focuses on safety, resilience, and human performance, together with user-centered organizational design and leadership.

With over a decade of experience in safety, loss control and risk compliance, Kreger worked in high-consequence industries such as global midstream oil and gas, critical infrastructure water utilities, and intermodal transportation before coming to Pinnacol.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master’s degree in organizational leadership with a concentration in strategic innovation and change from the University of Denver. He also holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
