As the safety business support manager at Pinnacol Assurance, Cora Gaines leads a team of experts dedicated to helping members identify workplace hazards and develop customized safety solutions. Under her leadership, the Safety Business Support team empowers members to strengthen their safety programs and proactively reduce injuries. By providing targeted safety consultations and strategic support, Gaines helps members achieve a measurable decrease in claims frequency, ultimately lowering costs and fostering safer work environments across Colorado.

Gaines has built a comprehensive foundation in workers’ compensation since 2007. By seamlessly integrating her deep background in underwriting with her extensive experience in safety consulting and management, she offers a unique, 360-degree perspective on risk. This multifaceted tenure allows her to guide her team in maximizing efficiency and workplace safety while delivering a superior return on investment for members.

Gaines has bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and business management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She holds Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Insurance Services designations from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU). Gaines received her Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
